I think all people must have a kind of adblock in this modern internet era, since there is too many misleading ads or just straight virus that masquerading as ads...
If you want to support specific website, you can add the domain into exeption list, so the ads from said website not get blocked...
It saves your game data somewhere else. There should be a shortcut to the location in the game files. So you can delete without worrying about your saves.
